A Lendovia advisor explaining how the cash reserve works to clients

A reserve always ready, wherever you are

Lendovia's revolving credit stays available at all times: you draw on it when a need arises, you repay, and the reserve replenishes. No new application needed each time you use it.

What is revolving credit?

Revolving credit — sometimes called a "cash reserve" — puts a sum of money at your disposal that you can use in one or several instalments, as needed. Unlike a classic personal loan where the amount is released all at once, the reserve replenishes automatically as you repay: you can draw on it again without a new application.

It's a solution designed for everyday money management rather than a one-off project: coping with an unexpected expense, absorbing a spending spike at the end of the month, or simply having a safety net always on hand. Interest is calculated only on the portion of the reserve actually used — as long as you don't touch it, it costs you nothing.

What changes with Lendovia

  • You only pay for what you use: interest only accrues on the capital actually drawn down.
  • A reserve that replenishes automatically with every repayment, with no new application to file.
  • Real-time tracking of the available amount and monthly payments from your client area.

Personal loan or revolving credit?

Two different logics, for two different needs

A personal loan suits a specific, one-off project. Revolving credit, on the other hand, adapts to recurring or unpredictable needs.

To understand it all

Revolving credit explained in detail

It works differently from a classic loan: here are the concepts you need to know to use it well.

The principle of the cash reserve

Unlike a personal loan where you receive all the capital at once, revolving credit puts a cash reserve at your disposal that you draw on as needed, in one or several instalments. Each repayment replenishes the portion used, up to the approved limit — hence the name.

Interest calculated as fairly as possible

You only pay interest on the portion of the reserve actually used, and only for as long as it remains owed. An unused €3,000 reserve therefore costs nothing: interest only starts accruing on the first withdrawal, on the amount actually withdrawn.

An adjustable APR, regulated by law

Unlike a fixed-rate personal loan, the APR on revolving credit can change over time. This adjustment is strictly regulated by the consumer code: it cannot exceed certain legal limits, and you are informed of any change before it applies to your contract.

The annual renewal of the contract

Each year, French consumer credit law requires the lender to check your solvency before renewing your revolving credit contract. If your situation no longer allows it, renewal may be suspended. This is a safeguard designed to prevent an unused or risky reserve from staying active without review.

A mandatory minimum repayment

Every month your reserve is used, a minimum repayment is due, including a portion of capital and accrued interest. The amount of this minimum depends on the capital used: the faster you repay, the less the credit costs you overall.

A tool to use with good judgement

Flexible and practical for absorbing the unexpected, revolving credit isn't designed to finance an ongoing budget shortfall. Lendovia encourages you to repay your reserve quickly after use and to avoid holding several open reserves at different lenders at once, to keep a clear view of your budget.
