The 44 questions our clients ask us most often, with their full answer, organised by topic on a single page.
No, never. The simulation is free, without commitment, and leaves no trace in a payment incident register. It gives you an indicative decision in principle within seconds, based on the information you enter yourself. Nothing is passed on to a third party, and no formal credit application is initiated until you have completed and submitted the application form.
Generally speaking, consumer credit is available to any adult with regular income sufficient to cover the planned monthly payment on top of their usual expenses. Each application is assessed individually: age, type of income (salary, pension, self-employed), nationality or type of employment contract do not automatically rule out an application, but do influence the assessment of your repayment capacity.
Three types of documents are usually enough: valid proof of identity (national ID card, passport or driving licence), proof of address less than 3 months old (utility bill, rent receipt) and proof of income (your last 3 payslips, or the equivalent for self-employed people and retirees). Having them to hand before starting your application lets you complete it in a single sitting.
Yes, as many times as you need. Freely adjust the amount and term in the simulator to compare the corresponding monthly payments and refine your choice before starting an application. None of these simulations is saved or commits you in any way.
Yes, having one or more ongoing credits does not prevent you from submitting a new application. These existing commitments are simply factored into the calculation of your debt ratio, alongside your income and expenses, to make sure the new monthly payment remains sustainable. If you already have several credits, a debt consolidation could also be worth considering so you only have a single monthly payment.
The Annual Percentage Rate (APR) covers the full cost of your credit: the interest rate, but also the cost of any compulsory insurance or guarantee. It is the only indicator that lets you objectively compare two credit offers, whatever the lender. At Lendovia, the APR shown during the simulation is fixed and guaranteed until signature: it cannot be revised upwards during the contract.
No. On a Lendovia personal loan or consumer credit, the rate is fixed: the monthly payment stated at signature stays identical from the first to the last repayment, unless you yourself request an adjustment or early repayment. There is no possible surprise linked to a rate change.
Depending on the offer chosen, amounts generally range from €3,000 to €100,000, over terms from 6 to 180 months. The simulator shows you in real time the monthly payment for the amount/term combination you select, along with the applicable fixed APR and the total cost of the credit over its full term.
No. For a given offer, the fixed APR of 3.5% applies whatever the amount borrowed and whatever the term chosen between 6 and 180 months. Only the monthly payment varies, depending on these two parameters, which you adjust freely in the simulator.
We cross-reference your net monthly income, your declared fixed expenses and any ongoing credits to calculate your debt ratio, generally kept below 35% of your income, including the monthly payment for the new credit. This calculation determines the maximum amount we can responsibly offer you, without straining your budget.
Allow 5 to 10 minutes on average to fill in the 4 steps of the form — your identity, your professional and financial situation, your contact details, then your supporting documents — provided you already have your documents scanned or photographed on your phone or computer.
An initial decision in principle appears immediately at the end of your simulation. Once your complete file has been submitted with all the requested supporting documents, our team usually reviews it within 24 business hours and sends you a final decision by email and from your client area.
Two options: application tracking, accessible from the menu using your file number, or your client area if you have already created an account. Both show you the real-time status of your application: under review, accepted, awaiting further documents, or finalised.
Yes, a refusal remains possible after review, most often when the monthly payment requested would exceed a reasonable debt ratio given your income and expenses, or when the supporting documents submitted are incomplete or do not match the information declared. In that case, an advisor explains the reason and may, depending on your situation, offer you an adjusted amount or term.
As long as your file has not received a final decision, contact our customer service team to report any correction needed (desired amount, term, contact details). After the decision, some changes require a new contract or an amendment to be drawn up.
Two options are offered once your file is accepted: electronic signature, which lets you finalise your contract online and receive a final decision by email within minutes, or postal delivery, where you receive a pre-filled contract to check, date, sign and return to us along with the requested documents.
The law grants you a 14 calendar-day right of withdrawal from the date your credit contract is signed, with no need to justify your decision or pay any penalty. Simply return the withdrawal form attached to your contract, or inform us in writing within this period.
Funds will be made available once the credit agreement has been definitively signed and after verification that all contractual conditions have been met. A minimum of 24 hours from signature is required before the funds are made available.
If you exercise your right of withdrawal after the funds have been released, you must return the borrowed capital along with the interest accrued between disbursement and repayment, calculated at the contractual rate, no later than 30 days after sending your withdrawal notice. No penalty or additional compensation can be charged to you.
Yes, at any time, in part or in full, with no condition or justification required. An early repayment charge may apply for significant repayments, within the limits set by consumer law; it is always communicated to you before any transaction, so you can decide with full knowledge of the facts.
Collection is carried out automatically by SEPA direct debit, on the date you choose when taking out your contract, from the bank account whose IBAN you provided. You can find the details of each instalment in your client area.
Yes, in most cases it is possible to adjust your monthly direct debit date once, to align it with your income (salary, pension). Simply request this from our customer service team via your client area.
Contact us as soon as possible, before the due date if you can: the sooner we are informed, the more solutions we have to offer you — postponing an instalment, restructuring the repayment schedule — to avoid a payment incident that could affect your standing with banking incident registers.
Your client area centralises your full repayment schedule, your contract, the documents you have submitted and the history of your exchanges with our advisors — accessible 7 days a week from a computer or a mobile.
No, for a Lendovia consumer credit, borrower insurance is optional. It is systematically offered to you when you apply, with details of the cover and monthly cost, but you remain entirely free to decline it.
The offer covers three types of protection: death, where the outstanding capital is fully covered by the insurer; PTIA (Total and Irreversible Loss of Autonomy), with the same level of cover; and ITT (Temporary Incapacity to Work), which covers your monthly payments during time off work, after a contractual waiting period. See the details on the borrower insurance page.
The indicative cost is around 0.30% per month of the outstanding capital, with no medical formalities required in most cases. The exact amount is calculated and shown before your contract is signed, based on the amount and term of your credit.
Yes, this is known as insurance delegation. You can take out an equivalent contract with the insurer of your choice, provided it offers a level of cover comparable to that offered by Lendovia. You can also cancel your Lendovia borrower insurance at any time to switch.
Debt consolidation involves combining several existing loans (consumer credit, overdraft, or even a mortgage in some cases) into a single credit, with a single monthly payment and a fixed APR for the entire new loan. It generally makes it possible to reduce your monthly payments by extending the total repayment term.
It's possible: by extending the total repayment term to reduce the monthly payment, the total cost of the credit (the sum of interest paid) may increase compared to the sum of your original credits. This is the central trade-off of debt consolidation: a lighter monthly payment today, in exchange for a longer repayment term. This point is always detailed to you before signature.
Yes. At the time of consolidation, you can add an amount of extra cash, beyond simply repaying your existing credits, to finance a new project or build up a precautionary savings buffer. This amount is included in the single monthly payment and the overall APR of the operation.
Personal loans, revolving credit, earmarked credit (car, home improvement) and bank overdrafts can generally be combined into the same consolidation, up to €100,000 over a term of up to 180 months. As each situation is different, the exact list of eligible credits is confirmed when your file is reviewed. See also the debt consolidation page.
All information submitted through our forms is encrypted during transmission and storage. It is only accessible to teams authorised to process your file, strictly within the scope of assessing your application, and is never sold to third parties for commercial purposes.
The retention period depends on the nature of the data and the outcome of your application (unsuccessful application, ongoing credit, credit fully repaid). Full details are explained on our data retention policy page.
Yes, in accordance with the GDPR, you have a right of access, rectification, objection and erasure over your personal data, subject to the legal retention obligations that may apply to a credit file. Details of these rights and the procedure for exercising them are set out in our data protection policy.

The Annual Percentage Rate expresses, as an annual percentage, the total cost of your credit: interest and the cost of any compulsory insurance. It is the legal reference indicator for comparing two credit offers.
This is the amount you actually borrow, before any interest. It is distinct from the total cost of the credit, which also includes the interest paid over the entire repayment term.
An earmarked credit is tied to the purchase of a specific good or service (a vehicle, home improvements): the funds are most often paid directly to the seller, and proof of purchase is required. It is distinct from non-earmarked credit, such as a personal loan, where the funds are paid into your account and can be used freely.
It corresponds to the share of your monthly income devoted to repaying all of your credits, including the monthly payment for the new loan. Lenders generally keep it around 35% to ensure your budget stays balanced once the credit has been granted.
This is the legal 14 calendar-day period you have after signing a consumer credit contract to change your mind, with no justification or penalty.
The repayment schedule is the table that details, month by month, the amount of each instalment, its split between capital repaid and interest, as well as the outstanding capital after each instalment. It is given to you with your contract and remains available from your client area.
This is the legal right to take out the borrower insurance required for a credit with an insurer other than the one offered by the lender, provided this external contract offers an equivalent level of cover.
This is the ability to repay all or part of the outstanding capital before the contract's scheduled end date, which reduces the remaining interest to be paid accordingly, possibly subject to a charge governed by law.
